With the redraft of my manuscript complete, I will get back to publishing original content on the four short stories launched on The Tolton Path. Each week will contain between 400 to 1,000 words on a story along with a short commentary.
I’d appreciate your help to determine whether or not I should focus on one story or rotate between them. I’d also like to know which story you like the most.
Below is a brief summary on each story followed by a two-question poll for you to answer.
Here are the story summaries:
Tao Lynn is a simple man raised on an island off the shores of Asia. He finds himself on a spaceship approaching a new planet to help select its governmental structure. He and the other delegation members find themselves captive by the genius who invented all the technology to discover the planet, Maxwell Rhodes.
Faith lives on a distant planet, seemingly all alone, except for a voice that is always there to care for her. On her tenth birthday, the voice gives her a book—the Holy Bible. Over the next five years, the voice teaches her the bible and decides Faith is ready for an adventure.
Yusuf is almost eighteen and lives in a deserted neighborhood. He can’t remember ever meeting another person. Drones drop off supplies at the front door without saying a word. He discovers an old newspaper that he thinks will help him figure out what happened and find the truth. And then Truth finds him and knocks on the door.
Mr. Right’s death is imminent. He’s ill and doesn’t have much time left. The only consolation is that he is able to share all his knowledge with his family in a database for them to access when he is gone. That is, if the various AI Agents, known as The Colors, approve of his data. Soon, Mr. Right is on the run and ends up in a digital universe with The Colors in pursuit.
Here are those two questions:
